NOTES ON PAINTING:
  • The Undercover SE Smooth is unpainted and is shipped in a primer grey color.  The SE Smooth does not have UV protection. As such, this cover must be professionally painted or it will eventually fade and crack in direct Sun.
  • We do not paint covers before they are shipped and strongly recommend that you don't buy pre-painted covers that are shipped for these two reasons:
    • The chances of a painted cover being slightly scratched or marred is high in the hands of a freight company
    • Even with a factory paint color number, there will usually be a slight color difference.  Only a professional auto painter can get a perfect match.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
  • Use caution ordering for the 2004 Ford F150. Ford had two styles: The Heritage version available from 1997-2004 and the 2004-2008 design - Please specify!

Easy Installation and Setup October 4, 2011

I had UnderCoverTonneuacovers.com ship my SE Tonneau for my 2011 F-150 Platinum straight to my body shop, which by the way was Joe Hudson Collision, they did a professional paint job on the cover that match my truck perfectly. Picking up the cover at JHC, we temporarily tied the cover down for my trip home. Thirty minutes after arriving home I had the mounting brackets installed and the tonneau was fully functional. I've see a lot of reviews complaining about the clearance between the tonneau and the truck bed, but personally I don't want ANYTHING rubbing my truck's paint job. I see where other tonneaus have to have protective tapes to gaurd against rubbing, not with UnderCover. Love this top!
